I see the waves roll across the shore,
Lost in a hammock sky.
Memories fall like an ocean,
I remember but wish for something more.
River banks lurking wild,
Swirling wildflower waters.
Sunlight dancing like a child,
Taken in the moment, so real.
My Sketchbook dreams lost in mid-day napping,
I'm just a horizontal lullaby lapping.
Like toothpaste slush squirted on the mirror,
A presence once upon a time felt here,
Now gone,
An endangered hush lost in the atmosphere.
The same word repeated twice-then lost-
whispered now again- so soft.
The pied piper is calling us to go,
He dances a little song:
"Existence is eternal in the odyssey of time,
Each life comes in its own season little marchee,
And now my child, its time for you to come away with me."
Light streams in shafts of crimson and gold,
In the place where hope is told.
Where all conversation melts into wonder,
And the quietest hush sounds like thunder.
No more need to try,
All lost in a hammock sky.

Busy little chief
I am currently engaged in writing a novel and so that is taking up a lot of my writing time. I am way excited about it though. Maybe I'll post a clip of it later. But for now here is short little snippet of a thought:
To me, cooking is like poetry.
You have to have a basic understanding of the language first.
And even then, some people just aren't very good writers.
That is why God made poets and chiefs,
for those of us who are still struggling to read.

Love Cure
Cure for the lovesick and hopeless,
Open up my head
and let me out,
Free me from my mind,
let me step outside forgiven,
This bird's eye view,
I realize a flower pot
is never a garden,
Swimming in a fishbowl
all our lives,
not knowing that the sea
is where a mermaid thrives,
So hold me,
give me wings with your eyes,
and we'll fly limitless
as the earth, seas, and skies.
